If you had to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, which fictional character(s) would you want to accompany you?

No doubt about it, I'd choose Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. They'd be endlessly interesting, uniquely resourceful and set a determined, yet reasonable pace. (And Sunny could protect us from bears and other critters with her biting.)

The Cat Bus from Totoro. Travel would be a bit easier.

That's kind of cheating. But, all the same, fantastic company.

I finally replaced Flash!topia with a new blog.
It was terribly fun seeing you in DC. Anytime you need some NYC, I'll keep it open for you.
Love,

And you'd have to hike that entire damn trail knowing that somewhere, anywhere, but absolutely certainly coming, is a totally evil uncle who is dementedly, single-mindedly, determined to do whatever he has to do to get the kid's inheritance, and the hell with whoever is in his way. Fun trip.
I'd take Calvin and Hobbes. They'd fully appreciate nature and have entertainingly bizarre games and arguments that would be just right for a long hike.
